Each zodiac sign is born with a polarity that remains throughout their lives. Knowledge of this polarity and a subsequent balance between opposites can prove stabilizing regardless of what planetary aspect we may face on a daily basis. 

However, ignoring this polarity can appear devastating when facing a difficult aspect, such as a challenging square.  

In this case, the polarity for Taurus is Scorpio.

Taurus are ruled by Venus, the Roman goddess of Love, beauty, and appreciation, particularly for the arts. In astrology, Venus' influence inclines toward a love of luxury and exceptional creative ability. 

As a fixed Earth sign, Taurus are sensuous and sentimental. They may not give lavish gifts as tokens of affection because they are not carefree spenders, value is what you can expect for a hard-earned buck. 

They are willing to follow their hearts; however, may find it difficult to display their feelings openly, as they are very private and contained individuals. 

As Taurus can be dogmatic, living with them isn't always easy. They do have a surplus of energy; however, don't expect them to use it when you want them to. They are more apt to put it to use when they decide to. 

Despite being shy and reserved with strangers, you can be a wonderful host or hostess and truly enjoy entertaining those they are fond of through good food and wine in a plush environment. 

Taurus' natural home is the 2nd house, showing how we handle the possessions we hold dear. This includes money, objects, and the qualities we value in ourselves and others.
