Traditionally, August 01st heralds Lammas/Lughnasad in the northern hemisphere. While the hottest days of summer are yet to arrive, and extreme temperatures are wilting our plants, there is still magic and wonder all around us. 

Lammastide falls at the halfway point between the summer solstice and the autumn equinox. Christians also have church processions to bakeries, where those working therein are blessed by Christian clergy.

When the Moon is OOB N', it influences outward reactions. We may feel somewhat disconnected, as though we are on the periphery of whatever is occurring around us. 

We may even feel separated from ourselves and experience an ungrounded sense of stability.

ASPECTS

These were discussed in yesterday's Venusian transit post, so it's recap for those who read (in case you're feeling a Deja vu 😉). 

A few hours after Venus' transit, this decan's co-ruler, the Moon, sextile Mercury in Cancer (also ruled by the Moon) on a Taurian degree of 26°, associated with Venus, also co-ruler of this decan. This will provide an increase to the Venusian themes of love, abundance, and appreciation of beauty.  

This transit perfects in the Moon-ruled fourth house and Mercury-ruled sixth house respectively; therefore, the balance between intuition and logic are heightened, allowing us to meticulously examine all facets of a situation prior to responding. 

Note: Some astrologers utilize the degree theory for natal charts only, but I have learned through experience that these degrees are also applicable on transits, as demonstrated above. 

A few hours later the dignified Sun in Leo trine fallen Saturn Rx in Aries in the fifth and first houses respectively, creating a mix of amusement balanced with focus. It's a wonderful time for family events such a romance, a movie night, board games, or projects. 

On a personal level, it's a perfect atmosphere to absorb a subject which holds our interest. We may feel reflective and yet balanced and amiable to potential interruptions.

Dignified Venus in Libra inconjunct Chiron Rx in Taurus trine Juno Rx in Aquarius: When Old Lesions Leak 

Today's aspects occur on 0°, a critical, threshold degree symbolizing the most potent energy of each sign involved: Leo, Taurus, and Aquarius—all fixed signs, indicating a resolute awareness that achieves lasting goals through determination, patience, and reasoning.

Venus is dignified in Libra and accidentally exalted in the 12th, strengthening our ability to control circumstance. Chiron Rx in Taurus is in the 7th, the house of Libra ruled by Venus, indicating there needs to be some type of adjustment within a relationship.  

This doesn't necessarily indicate a personal or professional relationship. It could very well be the relationship we have with ourselves.

The 12th is the natural home of Pisces ruled by Neptune, a realm of limitation and frustration, but also of our subconscious mind and hidden strength. We're tempted by escapism rather than facing our difficulties. 

Yet, it's a dreamy, fog like, spiritual place of ascension when we do the needed work on ourselves.  

With Juno Rx in Aquarius following closely this afternoon in a trine to Venus and square to Chiron Rx, a profound relationship is most likely involved to press a button. It could be a partner, family, or close friend. 

Though others can be used to trigger us, the fact remains that regardless of any restraint or vexation from them, it only creates chaos within us if our alignment with truth isn't stable. 

This is where we opt to summon our hidden strength or choose various means of escapism: Sleep, addictive substances, or behavior (food, sex, deflecting, etc.). 

The most important relationship is with our self; therefore, anything that rocks our foundation today is a clear message, even a test of our resolve to ensure we've healed from a former narrative we believed about our self. 

We either recognize what's truly happening through wisdom, which would indicate healing; or get to work cleaning a festering wound with compassion and understanding. 

Because obviously the Universe has opportunities for us, but only after we've disinfected an old lesion that continues to leak.

SUNDAY'S ASPECT:

2:06 PM, EDT: OOB Mars in Cancer conjunct Ceres in Gemini:  OOB Mars is waging his own battle in Cancer right now by learning to relax and be nurtured. This warrior, particularly OOB, is ready to conquer his own kingdom. But perhaps Ceres, a shield maiden in and of herself who won a battle against Zeus and Hades for the return of her daughter, can teach him a thing or two.

This conjunction taking place in the 8th house provides an opportunity for Mars to redefine kingdom. Submission is a form of self-nurturance, which is what Ceres is all about. Allowing ourselves to be nurtured is a form of submission. 

In BDSM (this realm exudes sexual exploration) those who submit are in control. Therefore, if Mars could lay down his shield and sword and submit to nurturance, he would actually become a defender while conquering through intimacy and truth.

Ceres is right there to help restore balance and defend what's sacred during post-war efforts.
