NEW OOB N', V/C MOON IN GEMINI DISCUSSION

This lunation perfects @ 10:54 PM tomorrow (Sunday) night in the 5th, the natural home of Leo ruled by the Sun. I always look forward to a New Moon because it allows the stars center-stage. 

New Moon's are always associated with both endings and beginnings of a cycle. The V/C period ends Sunday morning @ 9:06 AM EDT; however, the Moon will be OOB N', indicating outward, and oftentimes outrageous expressions for this cosmic event.

Venus in Cancer square Chiron in Aries: Healing lies within the wound but must be cleansed in order to ascend. Oftentimes we resist what we attempt to suppress, or what has been buried by time. However, this aspect provides a powerful opportunity through sensitive affection, wisdom, and justice to come to terms with yourself just as you would anyone else who was suffering from an unhealed wound. 

Leading by example creates a heart-healing energy in the world, especially when Venus enters Leo this morning.

Mercury Inbound & New OOB N’, V/C Moon in Gemini: New Beginnings within Conformity. 

Mercury, Gemini’s Overlord, steps back over the ecliptic this morning under the Sun’s ever-watchful gaze, but don’t get too comfortable, he enters his storm Friday in preparation to station retrograde in less than two weeks, hours before the Full OOB S’ Moon in Capricorn. 

As for the social nature of the Twins, with their ruling planet neatly in-bound, communication will begin to mentally stabilize within its themes, until the storm hits Friday, that is. 

The Moon remains OOB N’; however, so resist those emotional urges to act out for attention.

Early morning, the OOB N’ Moon sextile fallen Saturn in Aries. Ingenuity can be accompanied by reservation; however, there seems to be a constancy and loyalty to people and things we care about. Saturn conj Vesta in Aries & Venus in Leo trine Neptune in Aries. After a day of ingenuity, why not allow fantasy to take control of the evening?

Midafternoon, fallen Saturn conjunct Vesta in Aries, creating a vortex of ingenuity involving thrifty means of generating resources for us and those we care about. We should guard against being so self-focused that we alienate those who care about us. 

Just because we are receptive to their ideas doesn’t mean we have to incorporate them. It just means they feel seen and heard - two of the most important aspects of any relationship, personal or professional. 

Tonight, Venus in Leo trine Neptune in Aries. Romance and a desire to serve combines with a radical urge to eschew anything responsible for imaginative fantasy. Why not? OOB N’ Moon inbound and Venus in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius - Emotional uncertainty quells while balance is achieved through mindful awareness.

Early morning the OOB N’ Moon will re-enter the confines of conformity and become more predictable in emotional themes. This makes the final OOB planet out of three (Moon, Mercury, & Venus) to re-enter the ecliptic atmosphere in roughly a week. Though it may be the calm before the storm, literally, as Mercury enters its storm Friday.

Late afternoon, Venus in Leo opposite Pluto Rx in Aquarius. Romantic and conscious-expanding appreciation are enhanced by deeper revelations of thought process. This polarity can be reconciled through mindful awareness: Don’t become so etheric that important details are missed, and don’t become so heavy in tone that the lighter aspects of beauty and appreciation are overlooked: there’s room and need for both on a balanced scale.

No major aspects, Chiron enters Taurus discussion: A Thorn in the Flesh be Damned. 

Chiron enters Taurus Friday @ 5:21 PM, EDT, 6th House (Placidus), the natural home of Virgo ruled by Mercury, who enters his storm @ 1:36 PM. Because the 6th links health and work, and Mercury (known in Greek mythology as Hermes, who bears the caduceus associated with healing) outlines the attainment of such through Taurian themes (stability, self-worth, resources). 

Note: This is only a preview of this transit, as Chiron stations retrograde in August and re-enters Aries in September, where it will remain until April, 2026 before re-entering Taurus permanently.

According to Seb Reily, as with many days of cultural significance such as Christmas, tradition held that celebrations began at sunset of the night before, making Midsummer Eve the beginning of the Midsummer festivities in ancient and medieval Britain.
