After a roughly two-month retrograde in Capricorn, Juno re-enters Aquarius for the final time @10:41 PM, EDT, via the 8th house of Scorpio co-ruled by Mars & Pluto. This is the realm of partner resources, inheritance, sex, taxes, and transformation through death. Though it rarely means a literal death. 

This will take Juno across the first 11° Aquarius for the third time. It’s very important to check your natal chart to see if planets are activated on these degrees, or any major aspects to Juno.

Less than 30 minutes after the Full Moon in Taurus perfects, it enters a sq to Pluto in Aquarius. This challenge takes place in fixed signs and earth realms. A fixed quality ensures an enduring energy; however, has a propensity to resist change and refuse to release a dream before it releases us the hard way. 

The earthen nature of this aspect’s houses and lunar sign provide a grounded stability and methodical process regarding tangible needs: Food, shelter, finances, and resources. We may discover that we’re facing difficult circumstances surrounding these themes during this lunation. 

Squares are often viewed as challenging; however, they provide the greatest opportunity for growth if we choose to accept their provocation. One avenue of navigation amid this energy is remaining ethical yet not obstinate. 

Our reputation could undergo scrutiny, costing us a professional and/or vital resource in the future is we forgo our morals out of fear of lack. Look deep beyond the surface of offers or ideas. Read the fine print of contracts.

In some regions of Mexico, October 27 is a day set aside to honor the spirits of pets that have passed on. This touching tradition has become part of the Día de los Muertos celebrations, where families welcome back the spirits of their beloved animals who once brought so much joy into their homes.

How to Honor Your Pet

The Moon is northbound, beyond the ecliptic midmorning and will climb until Thursday, when it will pivot downward and re-enter early Saturday evening. I typically don’t do lunar aspects outside of full or new moons because they move so quickly; however, with the lunar VC & OOB +N position, I note them.

Late morning the VC, OOB +N Moon square Jupiter in Leo. With the VC, OOB N+ Moon in the sixth, we’ll most likely face a contractionary energy between an emotional desire to connect and the ascetic, temperate nature of this realm. Whereas Jupiter in the ninth provides an opportunity to expand our perception and establish a balance between benevolence sans nitpicking small details.

It’s an excellent time for in-depth, philosophical conversations and idea sharing as long as we don’t demonstrate an arrogant, know-it-all attitude, or rash decisions/actions often associated with an OOB +N Moon. Planning is more suited at this time; the VC indicates caution against initiating new ventures or entering agreements.

Early evening the VC, OOB +N Moon in the sixth house amplifies our emotional need to relate to others. This could be demonstrated in one of two ways with an OOB +N Moon: Compassion or demands. The latter of which will result in isolation. Compromise assuages discord, but not to the point of becoming a doormat.  

Venus Rx in Libra in the fifth desires light-hearted fun and amusements, fine art and socialization. Avoid heavy conversations. Relax and enjoy a game night or good movie with family or a partner. Restlessness is a symptom of the OOB +N Moon. Choose where to put your focus. Singles may opt for a night out, but all should guard against excess in spending and consumption of food and spirits.

Note: The first two aspects occur very early, EDT; however, it will morning for my clients across the pond. The influence of the Sun inc Uranus Rx will last the day, as will the Venus opposition to Chiron Rx. The Lunar aspect to Uranus will pass within a few hours. Sun in Scorpio inc Uranus Rx in Gemini is a chance to evaluate all our relation/partnerships: Intimate, business, and casual. Look for outdated methods of communication that are so habitual they undermine our efforts. If we’ve felt taken-for-granted or dismissed, that’s the behavior we may be projecting. If so, today is the day it will be challenged, just as we challenge not feeling seen or heard. 

Others aren’t intentionally being repressive; becoming defensive will worsen the situation. Listening and adjusting our attitude to project compassion opens unexpected opportunities—personally and professionally. 

Venus Rx in Libra opposite Chiron Rx in Aries suggests financial caution and a healing aspect through recognition and realization. Extravagance is beneficial within gentility, not when attempting to purchase affection, attention, and/or power over others. Reconcile any polarity by being authentic. 

This includes honoring the boundaries of our budget. Learn from past mistakes and follow the lead by breaking a pattern of feeling worthless if not giving beyond our means. We have so much more to offer than materialism. 

OOB +N Moon conjunct Uranus Rx in Gemini ignites a restless fire to avoid the mundane contrasted with the comfort of familiarity. Rather than acting rebellious, there is a compromise—utilize the mind rather than physical action that may lead to accidents and/or legal issues.

Guarding our temperament today will be paramount to avoid conflict. There’s a difference in responding to defend our stance and a defensive reaction as though we’ve been threatened. Discernment can facilitate perspective, but only from a calm demeanor. 

The most important aspect of this challenge is to trace the source of any pent-up anger, resentment, or bitterness we may be harboring. Feeling irritable, doubtful, or defensive could be a symptom of repressed emotion that’s been unknowingly triggered. 

What we suppress in one way seeks another avenue of escape. 

This could be through our health or even an accident caused by impulsive behavior. If possible, you may want to take a mental-health day or leave work early to spend some solitude in nature.

While it’s widely known for the Christian holiday preceding All Saint’s Day, it’s actually the result of combining the Celtic observance of Samhain with the Christian church’s All Saint’s Day.

The result was a new religious holiday that could be embraced by both groups; however, the Christian church’s intent was to incorporate Pagans into their fold for conversion.

This type of ‘mirroring’ (using established Pagan holidays) was prevalent in the Christian church was to project unification as an attempt to attract other cultures, hoping that newcomers would ease into membership.

While All Hallows Eve is still recognized as a church holiday, the modern non-religious observance has evolved into ‘Halloween’.

History of Samhain is an interesting one. The ancient Celts believed there were just two seasons to the year: Beltane (spring and summer), and Samhain (autumn & winter); therefore, the Celtic culture celebrated October 31 as their New Year’s Eve.
