Midafternoon, the Sun in Virgo trine Chiron Rx in Taurus on the critical 0°, where the sign’s traits (Virgo & Taurus) are amplified. Some astrologers may not agree that a retrograding planet (Chiron) applies here, and I respect their opinion; however, because Chiron is crossing this ingress degree for a second time, I feel its potency is palpable.

Virgo’s domain is the 6th house, where work and health are linked together and service is paramount. At heart, Virgo is a healer and Chiron is the wounded healer. Together they can mount a transformational campaign of holistic healing that includes body, mind, and spirit.

Note: Technically, this is only a partial lunar eclipse; however, the entire Moon will be in Earth’s umbral (darkest) shadow, giving it a deep red or copper tint, the mark of a blood moon. Only a thin sliver edge will remain in the lighter penumbral shadow, but even that will appear reddish to most viewers.

In our modern world, Mercury represents all forms of communication and is the internal computer that incessantly supplies us with information about the world, akin to the telephone and the internet. Its placement in our astrological charts indicates how we think and reason, as well as how we communicate with others.

[Sidenote: I don’t suppose anyone else out there is dyslexic with a fallen, OOB S’ Mercury? If so, I would love to compare notes.]

We can identify Mercury in the nuances of speech, the uniqueness of handwriting, and even our distinctive gait, as navigating our surroundings is a form of communication. Mercury Cazimi: “Love is a privilege, not a possession."

Early afternoon, the Sun conjunct Mercury in Virgo, forming what is known as a Mercury Cazimi, where Mercury enters the heart of the Sun. It’s not rare and happens monthly with Mercury and the Moon, and annually with other planets as the Sun traverses the zodiac; however, it is potent because the Sun represents (in part) Christ consciousness, where epiphanies are brought to light. 

Consciousness is a key word during this cazimi because if we don’t pay attention then important, life-altering moments become dust under the everyday mundane. This is particularly applicable regarding our professional lives and reputation, as this cazimi takes place in the 10th house. 

Mercury transits are swift. much like tasks, work commutes, or visits for routine shopping or appointments. Yet, what can happen during those visits is pertinent and affect the rest of our lives. 

Now is a time to be in the moment and share your honest thoughts with others. Maintain a conscious effort on how your words will affect those around you. Reconciling rather than cancelling out innovative concepts with value conscious methods can produce surprising results that don’t drain our energy and/or budget. Uranus is unemotional in this realm; therefore, straight-forward communication is favored. 

Early evening, the Sun in Virgo square Uranus in Gemini, producing tension between a conscientious, companiable nature and an unsettled feeling that seeks to break away from routine. 

Allowing each person to follow their own desires rather than attempting to control their actions will produce stronger relationships based on freedom to be themselves in the long run.

Medea stations Retrograde @ 0°34° Taurus Partile Chiron: Releasing Steadfast Patterns for Spiritual Growth

Correct: In an earlier post I referenced Medea stationing in Aries to join the backdraft of retrogrades. Obviously, that was in error. Medea will be crossing back into Aries September 4th, joining four celestial planets and asteroids in a retrograde parade. Chiron retrograde will also be crossing back over into Aries mid-September, bringing the number of Aries’ cosmic retrogrades to six. 

I’m unsure about the significance of that, but every celestial body in Aries (that I have a relationship with) will be in retrograde at the same time. For as long as I’ve studied astrology, I don’t ever remember having a cosmic situation like this. 

I tagged the goddess queen (imho) Leah Whitehorse, the astrologer who introduced me to the goddesses, for her opinion on this. Is it rare to have so many celestial objects retrograde in a given sign at once?  I'll keep you posted.

I’m not sure if I would be as curious if this were not happening in Aries, but Aries represents the beginning of all new ventures and the divine masculine. So many goddesses, representing the Divine Feminine, Chiron representing healing, and then Saturn and Neptune representing limitations and the dissolution of boundaries just feels like something global beginning to shift. 

Has humanity reached its limit? Are we headed for a reset?

Early morning, Venus in Libra opposite Pallas Athena Rx in Aries offers an opportunity to reconcile a stressful polarity regarding our professional obligations that may be strangling our personal relationships. 

Workaholism produces alienation from those we care about. Alienation can result in insecurity, doubts, and withdrawal from intimacy altogether. We may even become frigid. 

Balancing our need to fulfill work responsibilities with our intimate relationships through honest communication loosens the tension.
