💫Medea Conjunct OOB Pluto in Aquarius: Evolution through Alchemical Transformation

Early afternoon the Scorpio Sun inconjunct Chiron Rx in Aries. A change in perspective regarding insecurity over being authentic. 

Instead of doubting yourself, drop into your heart and connect with your emotions. Chiron's retrograde is an opportune time for such reflection.  Failure to address this may result in health issues brought on by stress.

According to the Larousse Encyclopedia of Mythology (1968), Medea imparts "female wisdom," stemming from the Sanskrit concept or force of "medha." 

This concept is also shared by other mythological figures like Métis and Medusa. 

Additionally, it traces back to the Babylonian "Me" or "Mother Wisdom," as well as the Egyptian 'Met' and the Greek "Meter," which also means “mother”. Her name means “Wise One”.

Medea was recognized as the first sorceress to conduct rituals in Thessaly, is a pivotal figure in the region's reputation as 'the land of the witches.' Her legend suggests that she was instrumental in bringing women's herbal knowledge from Asia Minor to Greece, where she was considered the source of all healing and was versed in the use of herbs, magical plants, potions, and the art of transformation.  

Many believe that her archetype transcends time and space, offering insights into the transformative power of the Dark Feminine.

Her current transit through Aquarius combines her healing wisdom with the progressive nature of Aquarius. This achieves an alchemical potion of progressive intent balanced with a reasoning ability strong enough to temper the shadow aspects of these two forces. However, if the shadow aspects of these two forces collide rather than cooperate, there will be hell to pay on the receiving end of their wrath. 

As a Fixed sign, Aquarius is independent, inventive, progressive, and dedicated to humane causes. As an Air sign, it represents the expanse of intellect and imagination. 💫Juno & Hekate traversing through Sagittarius: The Magic Flute

No major aspects today; however, there is a conjunction I’ve been watching. Those unfamiliar with asteroids or working with the goddesses may be wondering who Juno and Hekate are, so let’s get that out of the way first.

It strangely reminds me of the story of The Magic Flute:

In the opera, the Queen of the Night persuades Prince Tamino to rescue her daughter Pamina from captivity under the high priest Sarastro; instead, he learns the high ideals of Sarastro’s community and seeks to join it. 

Separately, then together, Tamino and Pamina undergo severe trials of initiation, which end in triumph, with the Queen and her cohorts vanquished. The earthy Papageno, who accompanies Tamino on his quest, fails the trials completely but is rewarded anyway with the hand of his ideal female companion Papagena.

JUNO

Originally known as the Goddess Hera in Greek mythology, Juno was revered by for her beauty and fidelity. An idealized wife, she exemplified the duties and attitudes of a proper mate within the institution of marriage.

She became the Olympian Juno upon her marriage to Jupiter, and initiated women into the rites of marriage. Her placement can show us how we feel about marriage, what marriage means to us, what we do or do not desire in our marriage relationship, or if we even want to get married in the first place.

She symbolizes the principle of relatedness and represents our capacity for meaningful relationship, and the degree of awareness and sensitivity that we bring to another person. She also describes the ways in which we face the issues of compatibility, receptivity to others, mutual sharing, trust, jealousy, possessiveness, and power struggles. Here, concepts of commitment expand (Jupiter’s influence).

Sagittarius offers Juno a less defined understanding of monogamy which leans toward idealistic views, while Juno represents formal commitment and power balance.

This transit allows partners to communicate better and explore new possibilities in their relationship while addressing power imbalances and discussing different perspectives on fidelity.

HEKATE

Hekate, also spelled Hecate, symbolizes transitional spaces such as doorways, gateways, entrances, crossroads, and midnight. She is associated with the Moon, the underworld, spirits of the deceased, and a variety of plants, both healing and harmful.

She is revered as the Keeper of the Keys, a bearer of light who unlocks the hidden gateways to wisdom, wielding twin torches that cast light upon the journey. In moments when we find ourselves at a threshold or crossroads, uncertain of which path to choose, we may seek the counsel of Hekate for her guidance.

In moments of uncertainty, Hekate serves as a guide. The essence of a ceremony lies in its origin from the heart, embodying the sincere intentions of letting go. As these intentions are intimate, so too is the energy summoned for support: Source, God, the Great Spirit, Angels, Kali, Hekate, your Spirit Team - these energies all spring from Love.

Sagittarius offers Hekate unbridled freedom of vision. 

When we are at a crossroads, we navigate by the heavens, spiritual knowledge, and tradition. In this fire sign, we don’t wait for signs; we meet them through experience. Hekate invites us into the depths of our intuition to illuminates our decisions into maps of meaning.
