September’s full moon is known as the Full Harvest Moon because farmers used it to harvest their crops deep into the night, as the light was well-known to be luminous. Some Native Americans named it the Big Moon.
I know from my many previous posts and your own knowledge that you know all about full-moon rituals and crystal cleansings during full Moons; however, I wonder if you're familiar with the major cultural significance of this particular full Moon?
During this moon, Native American tribes not only honor the Moon, but pay respects to Gaia for her generosity in providing food for her children, including corn and other staple foods.
Most cultures use fruits, nuts, and other grain harvests to make their desserts. So, this Full Harvest Moon is called the Nut Moon by the Cherokee tribes, who gather all sorts of nuts to make nut bread, which is eaten during harvest festivals.
One of the most famous Harvest Moon festivals is the Chinese Mooncake Festival. Family and friends gather to eat mooncakes with tea and wine containing the sweet osmanthus flower ( also blooming at this time ). The mooncake pastries are filled with sweet bean paste or lotus seed paste, and sometimes even include salted egg yolks.
You'll also see brightly colored lanterns being carried as well as adorning villages and hillsides. The release of sky lanterns is also popular with this particular Moon, as well as worship of the Moon Goddess, Chang'e.
The Chinese Lunar Exploration Program is named after Chang’e, who saved their country from her tyrant husband by drinking the elixir of immortality to prevent him from drinking it. Had she not, the country would've suffered under her husband's cruel rule.
The Japanese celebrate this full moon with the Tsukimi tradition (which literally means moon-viewing in Japanese). They prepare offerings to the Moon and dine on tsukimi dango ( rice dumplings ).
In Korea, this full moon is celebrated as Chuseok, one of Korea’s most major holidays, similar to Thanksgiving. Most return home for family reunions to dine on songpyeon, which is a rice cake shaped like a half-moon, and enjoy rice wine. Gifts are exchanged, folk games are played, and many tend to their ancestor's graves.
Moreso than ever during this Harvest Moon, the world celebrates their bounty and blessings. And thus, so should we!

Today I wanted to discuss Mabon.
Known as the "pagan Thanksgiving", Mabon marks the Autumn Equinox, which I described in yesterday's post as daylight and darkness being equal. This symbolizes a time of balance, equality and harmony ( perfect for Libra season, no?! ).
In ancient times Mabon was a celebration of the second harvest ( Lughnasadh was the first - celebrated August 1 ). Mabon was a time when farmers gathered hearty foods like grapes, apples, and pumpkins.
Today's celebrations extend gratitude for the abundance of Gaia - both literally and spiritually. It’s also a perfect time amid the falling leaves to reflect on the Wheel of the Year, recognizing what serves you and letting go of the things and people that did not during the past twelve months.
The Wheel coming to an end heralds the perfect time to set intentions reflective of the waning light involving decrease and reduction, i.e. - releasing that which no longer serves you: toxic relationships, unhealthy habits or self-destructive behavior and/or beliefs.
Some Mabon symbols you can use to decorate your home also serve the Autumn Equinox:
•Cornucopia (horn of plenty), pinecones, seeds
•Colors: Orange, red, yellow, brown, copper, dark yellow, dark green
•Foods: Corn, beans, squash, apples, pumpkins, cider, root vegetables, pomegranate, wine
•Herbs: Yarrow, rosemary, sage, mug wort, rosehips,
•Stones: Amber, citrine, cat’s eye, aventurine, sapphire, jasper
•Flowers: Sunflowers, thistle, marigolds
•Deities: Mabon, Green Man, Demeter, •Persephone, Morgan, Pomona, Inanna
•Animals: Owl, stag, blackbird, salmon
The easiest (and most fun ) ways to celebrate Mabon and the Autumn Equinox is to decorate your home to reflect the colors and bounty of Autumn. Fresh and dried flowers work perfectly for altars and areas about your home. Gourds are also fun to decorate ( children especially like this activity ).
I’m lucky to have my own flower gardens and trees to collect acorns ( as you've seen ) and pinecones from. Unfortunately for city-dwellers, gathering such items may require visits to florists, nurseries or local farmer's markets.
It can sometimes be difficult to plan a family feast if Mabon/Equinox falls in the middle of the week, as is the case this year; however, it's not about the size but the intention behind the offering. I'll celebrate tonight with my grandson amid floral and harvest decor.
We'll also take turns expressing what we are grateful for, as well as what we hope to accomplish in the coming year.
Celebrating solo can also be a blessing. It will allow you to be more relaxed and provide the freedom to celebrate however you choose. Be that outdoors in your favorite place or a picnic on your living room floor surrounded by candles, flowers, and autumn decor.
If the trees can gracefully release their leaves and the flowers can gracefully release their petals to the earth - then we too can release what no longer serves us in order to be better servants to the earth and her inhabitants.
Expansion benefits all beings!

The fall equinox, the first day of autumn arrives this Saturday, Because Mabon and the Sun's transit into Libra also happens on the same day, I am taking the next three days beginning today to write about each one, ending with the Sun's transit Saturday.
While not a directly observable phenomenon, the second equinox of the year will take place on this day, characterized by equal amounts of day and night world.
SCIENCE AND ASTRONOMY
During this time, the Sun shines directly over the equator, dousing both hemispheres with equal amounts of sunshine. This also marks the first day of fall in the Northern Hemisphere. The September Equinox – called the “autumnal ( or fall ) equinox” in the northern hemisphere and the “vernal equinox” in the southern hemisphere – signals the point where earth experiences roughly equal lengths of day and night.
In addition, Mercury — generally a rare sight since its proximity to the Sun makes observing difficult — will reach a point visually furthest from our star. You'll be able to spot the planet around dawn on this day, before it disappears into the sky along its 88-day orbit.
HISTORY
The Moon that occurs closest to this equinox is called "Harvest Moon", which rises around sunset for several nights in a row. Traditionally, the Moon rises an hour later each night; however, around the time of the equinox, the angle of the Moon's orbit and tilt of the earth align, causing the Moon to arise earlier.
I'll be writing more about the Moon next week. But for now, the rising of the Moon assists farmers in completing their harvest by illuminating the night across the fields.
According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the fall equinox has been a day of celebration for cultures since ancient days. People tracked the transitions of the Earth’s journeys around the Sun.
At Machu Picchu in Peru, an ancient stone monument called Intihuatana—which means “Hitching Post of the Sun”—serves as a solar clock to mark the dates of the equinoxes and solstices.
In Mexico, the Mayans built a giant pyramid called Chichen Itza. On the equinoxes, it looks as if a snake made of light slithers down the pyramid’s steps.
In England, Stonehenge was also built with the equinoxes and solstices in mind.

RITUAL
My ascendant ( rising sign ) is Libra, and I view this equinox as a precursor to the astrological sign of harmony and balance. This liminal gateway invites us to examine these aspects within ourselves as we prepare to submerge into our own shadows in hopes of healing old wounds.
"The shadow," is a term coined by Swiss Psychoanalyst Carl Jung as the wounded or rejected part of ourselves. This is where Chiron, the wounded healer comes into play, and why I post so much about it.
The shadow is a cellar for repressed memories and/or the emotions associated with those memories. It can also include behaviors that didn't highlight our finest moments. It's the side of us or the face we'd rather not show the world, especially when attempting to make a good impression.
This is nothing to be intimidated by. On the contrary, it's actually a blessing that enables us the downtime we need, i.e. - shorter days, to integrate this shadow until, like nature, we are a balance that can emerge into the light fully healed.
I know many of you have your own personal rituals to observe on this equinox; however, I thought I'd share mine.
First, I will begin tomorrow evening at around 9:00 PM versus sunrise the following day, as this will honor and welcome my Shadow fully into my life for the healing season.
It begins with a warm, cleansing bath and autumn--colored candles/crystals ( see graphic for recommendations ). I also prepare special adornment for this ritual by wearing an autumn-colored kaftan.
Once cleaned and dressed, I prepare my altar ( see graphic for recommendations ) for my ritual. This ritual is a commitment to honor my shadow throughout this season.
Once my altar is set and my supplies are gathered, I call forth my spirit team.
Once I've formed a safe and secure barrier of protection and safety around me, I initiate meditation by envisioning myself welcoming and connecting to my shadow.
Once I feel emotions begin to rise, I envision what I want to release by writing it down before folding the paper into a small square.
I then speak my truth aloud, saying "I release ____(name the shadow issue) and bring balance into my life. So mote it be."
This process may not be immediate for you. You may have to sit with it, repeating your intention until you truly believe it yourself before you feel the shift. But trust me, you will feel the shift if you commit yourself to this.
I light the folded paper in the candle flame and place it in my burning bowl, extending gratitude to the Universe as I watch it burn. Once its embers have grown cold, I gather the ashes in a jar and mix with salt as a reminder of the balance of dark and light.
So above, as below. So within, so without.
I seal the jar's lid with candle wax. This will serve as a constant reminder of the commitment I have made to my shadow to honor its presence by balancing it with light.
Namaste, my dear friends and followers, for a beautiful equinox ritual to you each. May you discover peace, balance, and comfort in the dark.

Perhaps out of jealousy at the awed state in which our Moon left the onlookers last month, or perhaps out of responsibility to razzle-dazzle eager skywatchers with, Venus will begin to shine extra bright during this time.
This is primarily because the 'morning star' has ventured very close to our planet, and as it reflects maximum of the Sun's light back onto us, it will appear super illuminated in the skies.
Additionally, did you know that Venus has phases much like our Moon? Adds more credence to our jealousy theory, we think.

With the Sun and Moon in Virgo, and the Ascending in Taurus, we've got a LOT of Earth energy right now. We may feel grounded and even somewhat heavy if we're not comfortable in that environment, re - Air signs.
This New Moon presents motivation and inspiration with a side-helping of reality in regard to future plans, beginning with a desire for our own personal well-being. This could be physically, emotionally, spiritually, or all!
Virgo Energy encompasses simplicity, as well as an appreciation of beauty. The Virgo lesson is adaptability to ever-changing circumstances. Combined with the energy of this new Moon makes is a perfect time to slow down and get organized to avoid the overwhelming of complications. Virgo is a strategist; therefore, is in their element when planning.
Life is full of the unknown and we never know what curveballs will be thrown our way on any given day. This Earth energy will keep us grounded and provide a better chance of navigating through the things that are coming.
Resetting enables us to transmute lower-vibrational energies stemming from fear so they can better serve as opportunities.
And aspect of this Moon is an opposition with Neptune, representing the spiritual or escapist urge. With the emotional Moon involved, we may feel an impulse to avoid deeply emotional circumstances, especially with the Moon's placement in Earthy, unemotional Virgo. Acknowledge all emotions that may rise with this lunation, and as a breeze, allow them to pass through by breathing into them.
Instead of avoiding a situation that triggers our emotions, delving beyond the symptom to the source can eliminate future recurrences. Healing can be painful, but it's always miraculous.
Another thing to watch for is Virgo's laser focus on the details, which could come off as criticism, but it's a part of Virgo's love language: they want to improve everything. This can also cross over into perfectionism; therefore, keep the criticisms to a minimum regardless of how good your intentions. Tune into the energy around us.
Focusing on our own goals is always encouraged. Virgo's flexibility will be beneficial to us and may even lead us on a different route. It may also take longer to arrive; however, it will still carry us to our desired destination.
All this Earth energy creates a perfect platform to spend some peaceful time in nature. Because Virgo is all about health, focusing on healing through meditation in and/or communication with nature is beneficial. Perhaps we're ready to pick up a healthier habit by releasing an old one. Now is the opportune time to put it into motion.
After all, New Moons are all about beginnings.
Finalize any outstanding projects that procrastination has been delaying. The more we clear out and empty, the more room we have for a brand-new cycle.
• Don't avoid rising emotions
• Visualize goals
• Have a backup plan
• Use Time wisely
• Plant seeds
• Focus on beauty
Lastly, look for divine signs which will keep us motivated and inspired. And don't forget to recognize the divinity within us, as a child of the Universe who fully expects magic and miracles in their life!

NINTH HOUSE:
The Ninth House is the natural home of Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter: The Greater Benefic. This is a house of aspiration and life, highlighting our higher mind and superconscious. Mercury's mental capabilities, and thus ours, will be magnified in this Jupitarian home. Along with religion, science, philosophy, and psychology, profound mental study and discourse are highly favored.
MERCURY DIRECT IN VIRGO
Fortunately, this is one of the more pleasing transits of the year because everyone is more comfortable in their own home. This holds true for Mercury as well, being he is exalted in his Virgoan castle. When relaxed, we have little need for defenses and demonstrate our greatest quality: Authenticity.
Here Virgo is not only ruled by Mercury, but Mercury comes to full strength, displaying its most positive qualities: the ability to communicate and a fine, analytical quality to the mind. Facts become very important, and we could often find ourselves thoroughly researching before making a decision.
As this aspect denotes a meticulous nature, we need to guard against judgment or impatience toward those who are less organized in their thinking or actions.
NATAL ASPECT
In Virgo, Mercury is non-emotional. Natives who have this aspect in their birth charts are most likely uncomfortable in emotional situations. However, it's this very emotional detachment that makes them excellent researchers, scientists, or even teachers.
They almost possess a photographic memory, able to absorb information quickly and memorize long pages of material easily. However, they should guard against eagerness to take too many things on at once, which drains their energy. No one can be everything to everyone.
Once depleted, they can become nervous, suffer from anxiety, and be hypercritical. It's important to learn when to rest. That may prove difficult, being that one of the most difficult things for a Virgo to do is put off tomorrow what can be done today.
Here's hoping that'll change!

The 2nd House is the natural home of Taurus and is ruled by Venus, who just stationed direct in Leo yesterday.
This house is a house of substance and values highlighting financial affairs and investments, including gains and losses, as well as material debt by our own efforts. It also highlights our gifts and resources. A need to feel fulfilled and a sense of self-worth are highlighted here.
Jupiter is known as the greater benefic and rules wealth, leisure, business, and the higher mind of philosophy, reasoning, and aspirations. Jupiter's action is orderly and promotes growth because it expands whatever it touches. However, there's something here that needs review surrounding our finances and possibly a legal matter, as Jupiter is also the judge, lawmaker, and helper.
We should take inventory of our finances and double-check all contractual agreements during this time. But that doesn't mean anything dire by any means! It's just better to be safe and orderly, especially in the sign of Taurus and the 2nd house.
This is also a time of deep reflection, both philosophical and spiritual, and the revelations we receive can and do promote growth on both levels. As the Greater Benefic, Jupiter does have a shadow side; however, for the most part, it's a planet that highlights luck and fondness for animals.
It's a wonderful time to expand into a topic that interests us. We can reflect on how we want to proceed and make an orderly plan for our goals to succeed. Epiphanies are common during this time, especially if you take the time to go deeply inside. Make sure that they are logged in a journal. I can't count the ones I've lost, thinking I would remember them.
Take advantage of this opportunity for growth at a slower pace. It will become more ingrained in our minds and hearts. With Taurus' ruler, Venus, now direct in Leo, there doesn't have to be a lack of passion in whatever endeavors we embark upon.

In Taurus, Uranus has difficulty expressing itself naturally.
Uranus is the 6th planet to station retrograde ( there are only 9 in our solar system - yes, Pluto is a planet—don't come at me ). Five retrogrades happen only 4% of the time, while six happen only 0.7%. In addition, we have the lunar shadow, Black Moon Lilith, the asteroids Eros, Chiron, and Eris in retrograde.
Time to inhale, slow down, and pay close attention to what we're doing and saying. ESPECIALLY with Uranus entering the picture. We may attract energy at some ethereal level, and it can seem surreal, as though we are living in an alternate reality or separate dimension. Because of this influence, we may experience less certainty than previously, which in turn breeds feelings of isolation and not fitting in.
Uranus is the natural ruler of Aquarius and the 11th House, a house of group relationships and social consciousness.
However, this station is happening in the first house, ruled by Mars and the natural home of Aries. It's also where the North Node is currently. It's a house of life and identity.
This house, in particular, shows our personality, natural disposition, and tendencies. It highlights the way we express ourselves and our individuality. It's a guidepost for how we want to market ourselves to others.
It favors the beginning of all enterprises. Aries, ruled by Mars, who in turn rules this first house, is all about enterprises and ambition. Its energy can be used with courage and strength, or it can be used destructively.
This retrograde is an annual cycle that lasts about 155 days, causing the planet to relapse roughly four degrees backward. Uranus represents transformation initiated often by sudden destruction. This is a time of inner change in response to external changes in your life.
Now that we know WHERE and for how LONG this station is happening, let's move on to the motivating force of power, Uranus. Representing the freedom urge, Uranus rebels against conformity. Its keyword is "the awakener", reflective of one of my favorite lines from Dune, "The sleeper must awaken."
If we feel as though we have been struggling against the current to achieve what we know in our hearts is part of our destiny, we can now expect Uranus will be the catalyst for that change to take place. This influence won't be external, but internal. This means we need to pay attention to our attitude, perspective, and belief system at this time. Any, or all of which could be holding us back.
This may be the epitome of walking by faith alone.
Uranus will trine Pallas and inconjunct Ceres the following day, Tues, Aug 29th. Pallas Athene is the Goddess of Wisdom and Warcraft, though she is never the aggressor, always the defender. This trine can produce advantageous strategies that will assist the inward changes taking place. Re-evaluating the effectiveness of our plans. But we have to be willing to acknowledge we need to change.
This acknowledgment in combination with 1st house action can take us closer to our North Node destiny. Strength and courage to move forward are ours for the asking.
Ceres is the Goddess of Harvest and represents abundance, sustenance, and nurturing as that of a mother; therefore, Karma is indicated here with this inconjunct. We may be served a taste of our own medicine by way of disruptions in our relationships, particularly with children or parents.
Reaping what we've sown is the destiny of every human. An action doesn't just affect the intended recipient, but the doer as well. What we do to others truly comes home with this inconjunct.
The positive aspect here is to honestly evaluate OUR role in whatever situation is taking place. Whether it's a financial loss, relationship issue, or even our own mood and attitude, we MUST recognize our part in it. In other words,
"The sleeper must awaken."

If you missed the Eris Rx post, you can read it here: https://inspiritualservice.com/celestial-events
Scientifically and for those who don't know, Chiron is a small body orbiting the Sun between the asteroid and Kuiper Belts located between Saturn and Uranus; thus, there was an initial belief it was an asteroid.
That is not the case, per se.
Chiron has a tail resembling a comet but does not exhibit the patterned trajectory of typical of a comet. It also has a unique and erratic orbital pattern; thus, it is classified as both a minor planet(oid) and a comet because it goes its own way. It's named after the centaur Chiron in Greek mythology, known as a healer and teacher who could not heal himself.
It's believed that Chiron hasn't been around very long due to the presence of ice on its surface. Because of its close proximity to the sun ( unlike other comets ) its ice will melt much quicker, causing it to break orbit and perhaps "visit" another galaxy.
Mythologically, Chiron was held to be the superlative centaur amongst his brethren since he was called the "wisest and justest of all the centaurs".
Chiron is considered a visitor who was captured by the sun's gravitational force; he is referred to as the mature, Wounded Warrior here to serve a purpose. Just as we are. A great healer, astrologer, and respected oracle, Chiron was said to be the first among centaurs and highly revered as a teacher and tutor.
Astrologically, it's important to know where Chiron lies in our birth chart because it points to our wounds and reveals the healing power we have within ourselves.
The 9th House is the natural home of Sagittarius and ruled by Jupiter. This is a house of higher mind, mental exploration, and long-distance travel. It also represents religion, philosophy, law, and in-laws. Therefore, the emphasis of both this Rx and conjunction Eris Rx are on these things.
Jupiter expands whatever it touches, be it light or darkness, so it's just as important to control the thoughts of our mind. Because the 9th house represents the higher and superconscious mind, it's within our ability to reach for higher thoughts during this time.
There is truth in the wound; there is also freedom. And while revisiting old wounds to heal is painful, if we reach for that higher thought and remind ourselves it's all part of the process, then healing can take place without resistance.
Surrender is a good definition to remember.
It's important that we face inadequacy, doubt, and low self-esteem/worth in order to rise above these issues. This may be quite a challenge, especially if the wound is deep.
There's going to come a time when we must clean our wounds in order to reach the summit. It will help to know that obstacles are typically of our own accord and that some pivoting of thoughts and/or beliefs are required.
With this planetary Rx parade: Venus ( affection ), Saturn ( teacher ), Pluto ( underworld ), Chiron ( wounded healer ), Eros ( Love ), and Eris ( discord and strife ), there's a theme around learning from a heart-centered classroom. Pluto can lead us deeply into ourselves, but can we face what's underneath our exterior?
If we refuse, then Eris will present circumstances that may force us to face what's been sequestered deep within us. Even if our experience is problematic, it serves as a compass as well as the path we want to eschew.
There is no greater lesson than contrast. Through the experiential and healing process, we can become excellent guides and counselors who can assist others on their healing journey.
Blessings on your healing path, and wherever it leads you, know this: it's for your greatest good so that you can leave positive and joyful imprints on the greater good of humanity as a whole.
After all, happiness is the desired song of our hearts and hope for our lives.

Eris is the goddess of discord and strife, who challenges the status quo and exposes the hidden truths. She invites us to embrace our authentic selves and express our passions without fear or compromise.
As the sister of Ares/Mars, Eris is more than comfortable in the sign ruled by her brother, Mars. Here she is a force of change and innovation, who inspires us to take action and initiate new beginnings. She also reminds us that we are not alone, but part of a collective that shares our vision and values.
Named after the Greek goddess of strife and discord, her Roman equivalent is Discordia, which means the same. Eris's Greek opposite is Harmonia, whose Roman counterpart is Concordia. Homer equated her with the war-goddess Enyo, whose Roman counterpart is Bellona.
Eris shakes things up; thus, her reputation. But, in her defense, she always points out what needs to be said or done—something many, especially the status quo, reject. Her position in Aries provides boldness and initiative; however, it also contains impulsive actions that are self-focused without consideration of others if not kept in check.
SCIENTIFICALLY SPEAKING
Some interesting facts about Eris are:
• An Eridian day is just slightly longer than Earth’s.
• Eris was once thought to be bigger than Pluto.
• Eris is responsible for the big debate over the definition of “planet.”
• It has its own moon.
• Initially, Eris was called Xena.
• Its surface is like Pluto’s heart.
There is no appreciable atmosphere on Eris, meaning it’s at least 1/10,000 that of Pluto’s. That, combined with the high surface brightness of Eris, suggests that it has a recently collapsed atmosphere—that is, an atmosphere that has frozen onto the surface.
RETROGRADE IN ARIES
Because Eris is a symbol of both strife and striving for justice among humanity, I use the analogy of cleaning out a closet when referring to Eris: Things are going to get a LOT messier before they get better. Whenever Eris enters the picture, she is here to do whatever it takes to get it done. After all, sometimes discord is required for accomplishment.
The position of Eris in our own natal charts reveals how we do or don't stand up for ourselves, why, and even how to combat negativity or destructive energies, including that of our own.
Knowledge is power and enables us to regulate our emotions into balance so that we act from a place of heart-centeredness versus emotion.
As is customary with retrogrades, this one is no different and encourages self-introspection. If her current position in the sky closely aspects an important placement or angle in our birth chart, we're more likely to be very aware of her presence during this time. It’s possible Eris could present a situation where we must stand up for ourselves, especially if we tend to keep the peace regardless of the cost.
This will be especially helpful during the recent nodal switch into Aries/Libra, where Libra, the known keeper of the peace at any cost, can rely on Aries for the courage and strength to stand up for what's right despite the cost. And Eris is right beside Aries to help lend support. Except, unlike Aries, She more than likely created the situation.
Eris doesn't just place us in a position to reach for courage and strength, she also points inward to self-sabotaging patterns that create low self-esteem, and ingrained beliefs, such as misogyny, that create a helpless disposition. She is the presence in Plato's cave that clarifies the psyche's shadow so that realization and actualization can be born.
As Plato asserted, education is halved due to the lack of it toward our own nature. How can we formulate strategies to quell our oppressors if we have not evaluated how we may oppress others through our own behavior? This includes the inability to accept responsibility for our own circumstances and suffering. We then become our own worst enemies. It only takes one person of strength and courage to initiate a love revolution.
Eris is the Devil's Advocate and is here to make sure that at least one warrior, if not more, rises to the occasion from the fire. And she will perform in whatever manner it takes to accomplish it.

Neptune stations Retrograde in Pisces @ 5:07 PM in the fifth house until December 06, 2023.
Time to remove the rose-colored glasses and slow down to get in touch with the deeper aspects of truth.
A renewed spirit of generosity, compassion, and empathy is shared by all when Neptune inhabits this mutable water sign. That's because it's in its dignity ( the astrology sign it rules ), and when a planet is dignified, this will strengthen our response to it. We are empowered to control our circumstances. With Neptune direct, our creativity soars, or at least, we are more confident about applying our creativity in the real world.
Stationing retrograde will prolong Neptune's ingress into Aries until March 2024. And even then, it won't be permanent, because it will retrograde back into Pisces from October 2024 to Jan 2026!
Sounds a little like Pluto skipping back and forth between Capricorn and Aquarius right now, doesn't it?! The planets aren't afraid to go back and double-check or redo something that's not right—they do it in front of the entire universe.
The fifth house is the natural home of Leo and is ruled by the Sun. It's a vibrant house of life and creativity highlighting children, love affairs, romance, holidays, and hobbies. It reveals our enterprise as well as originality and creative outlets.
How this retrograde affects us individually depends on our natal aspects; however, as a collective, we can expect to encounter a heightened sensitivity. If we have a challenging aspect, such as a square or opposition to Neptune in our natal chart, we can also expect confusion to the degree of that aspect/s.
For example, a square would indicate stumbling blocks along our path, while an opposition would require reconciling two opposing forces to attain balance. A conjunction emphasizes whatever energy it encounters so that too could become challenging.
This is why being intimate with your natal chart is so important. Knowing is half the battle.
Back to the rose-colored glasses—this retrograde can force us to face the reality of any illusion we may be under. While that may sound unpleasant, it's actually a blessing. If someone is jerking our chain, wouldn't we want to know? That's a great question because when it comes to Neptune, it's either the spiritual or the escapist urge.
In other words, during this retrograde, we are only going to see and hear what we WANT to see and hear. Remember, this planet is in its dignity whether direct or retrograde, which means we are empowered to control our circumstances—that includes what we choose to believe.
The planets aren't afraid to backtrack and finish something undone or correct a misnomer. They do it in front of the entire Universe. Maybe it's time to consider the source—if we are looking for a sign, I don't think Source could make it any more obvious. . .

Saturday, June 17th, Saturn, will station retrograde 07°PISCES 12', 1:28 PM EDT, 6th house.
Saturn is known as the teacher, taskmaster, and Lord of Karma. He represents learning through experience. A lesson learned through Saturn is one never forgotten.
He represents the urge for security and safety. Rules, discipline, and responsibility are his domain, as well as delays, sorrows, limitations, and politics.
When Saturn backsteps it's the perfect time to seek employment or even a promotion. While it's advisable to keep up with local and global politics, especially with Pluto Rx in Capricorn, it's equally important to avoid intense political discussions during this period.
Because the Rx happens in the 6th house, a house of substance and duty ruled by Mercury and the natural home of Virgo, it's also an opportune time to work on self-improvement, your health, and work/personal habits. In this house, work and health are linked together.
Saturn's retrograde frequency is once annually and lasts a few months. In this case, it will station direct on November 04, 03:03 AM.
Because Saturn is the Lord of Karma, he will come calling during retrograde ( pre and post-shade included ); therefore, we may witness or read about justice being served against those who abused power by virtue of their position and authority.
And, if we've acted outside of integrity ourselves, then we may receive a dose of our own medicine as well.
As for us personally, retracing our steps through our learning process will provide us with a different perspective from a less emotional standpoint, especially in the 6th house. There is no greater duty than to us.
Viewing situations from a more mature angle dispels insecurity and doubt while increasing understanding and trust. Pausing to review should be an integral part of our growth process. There is no other way to determine what contributes to our well-being, and what holds us back. Sometimes all that's required is a change of course. At other times, patience.
Sometimes, an experience can seem like a watery reflection distorted by movement. Yet, if we're very still, the water calms, the reflection stills, and we see clearly what we'd missed.

Many astrologers consider your Sun, Moon, and the AC to be the most important aspects of your astrology chart—they wouldn't be wrong. All planets play a role in our multifaceted composition. Mercury reveals how we best communicate; Mars where we expend the greatest energy, and so forth.
Each has a gift and a revelation about that gift.
Even the Lunar Nodes and Lilith play an important part: The South Node reflects what we've brought with us into the life, while the North Node reveals where we desire to go. And Lilith is our shadow aspect.
But there are additional aspects beyond ( or between ) the planets and nodes. Some call them asteroids while others refer to them as dwarf planets: Pallas, Juno, and Vesta. You've seen or will see me refer to these quite a bit in my energy updates, and some I've gone into depth about.
When I began my astrological journey roughly 40 years ago, it was rudimentary in comparison to now. We are in a remarkable time astrologically, which is inclusive of in-depth mythological understanding, psychological analysis, and assessment. It almost mirrors archaeological discoveries that reveal the truth: as above so below.
These astronomical discoveries have included what was initially thought to be planets, downgraded to asteroids, and then upgraded to dwarf planets, beginning with Ceres, the dwarf planet associated with the Goddess of Agriculture, in 1801.
While we are discovering the mythological and archetypal status of these emerging Gems in our delineations, they have always been present. Just as the tombs of Egypt or cities of Mesopotamia have been nestled in the earth awaiting discovery. These discoveries unlock treasures of truth and new understanding that can speak to you astrologically during your quest to "know thyself": the basic tenet for astrology.
So let's get to know them intimately to see how they can assist us on our journey.
According to Llewellyn, these Gems bear the following traits:
"Pallas is the goddess of wisdom, and she is also the goddess of self-defense. Pallas sprang fully formed and armed from the head of her father, the king of heaven. Pallas is also an artisan and is connected to the art of weaving.
Pallas' symbol is the wise owl. She is in charge of defending herself and those important to her, and she creates objects of lasting beauty, through her love of fabric, and her skill with a needle and thread.
"Pallas is never the aggressor; she never strikes first, but she defends herself and those she loves. She is in essence the warrior queen, and the philosopher. Her closest astrological sign seems to be Sagittarius, and the house she most resonates with would be the ninth, the sector in our charts that relates to our philosophical take on the world, since we are all philosophers, even if we are not aware of it.
"Anytime we come up with a reason or a theory as to why we want to live our lives a certain way, we are exercising our philosophical side. This is where Pallas comes in. When we have to defend ourselves and come up with a strategy to deal with office politics, or school or neighborhood or community cliques, this is where Pallas comes in. When we are attacked by others because of our political or religious beliefs, or our lifestyle choices, or for no reason at all besides someone's obscene desire to vilify and bully us, this is where Pallas comes in.
"We use our wisdom when we need to, and if we have to do battle against someone or something, the wiser we are, the more likely we are of achieving success. When we have to deal with someone we find difficult, if we can chart his or her day of birth, and locate where Pallas was for our rival, or our opponent, we can better understand who we are dealing with.
"Likewise, it is a positive thing for us to know where our own Pallas placement is, according to house and sign, so we can determine for ourselves how and in what way we process wisdom, and how and in what way we deal with conflict. The fact that Pallas does not take the part of the aggressor or the bully should give us the encouraging knowledge that she can be trusted.
"Juno is the goddess of marriage and the month June is named after her. That is why June has a tradition of being the best month to get married in, good weather and the end of the school year notwithstanding.
"Juno's placement can show us how we feel about marriage, what marriage means to us, what we do or do not desire in our marriage relationship, or if we even want to get married in the first place. Astrologically, a common-law relationship or a civil partnership also constitutes a marriage, as does any long term living arrangement. Those partnerships, civil unions, common law relationships, or marriages, fall under the rulership of the seventh house in astrology.
"Libra is the natural ruler of the seventh house and Juno is most comfortable in the sign of Libra, since Libra rules love and marriage and courtship. Checking out the Juno placement of someone we are interested in should tell us a lot about this person, and his or her attitude to long term relationships. We can also get a glimpse of the sort of partner he or she might be.
"For example, an individual with their Juno in Aries would be interested in marrying a dynamic, attractive, and passionate person, someone who would have their own sense of identity and not be afraid to take charge of their own life and be independent. A person with Juno in Aries would bring a strong sense of self to their partnerships, and would not appreciate their domestic partner telling them what to do. They would want to make their own decisions. They might also have a jealous streak, and want their partner's full attention, along with their love and loyalty.
"Vesta is the guardian of the hearth and home. Vesta is the goddess in charge of the eternal flame, the one that keeps the household alive, safe and well. Vesta is the divine representation of the flame inside ourselves, the one that gives us our spark of life.
"Vesta is the place in our charts that allows us to understand the way we feel towards our home, and our family. Beyond that, she is the inspiration inside ourselves that keeps us going. She is the flame of our ambitions, and our desire to keep surviving in a difficult world. She is the joy we feel when we accomplish a goal, or make our dreams realities.
"Vesta was not allowed to fall in love, since she needed to keep herself committed to the endless tending of the flame that allowed Rome to exist. If the flame went out, Rome would die. It was that simple. There are many goddess points for us to look at in our all important quest for love, but Vesta is not one of them.
"Vesta is the place in our charts that belongs to us and us alone. She is the inner spark we need to survive all odds, and to keep our spirits intact on the darkest day. She is also the light that guides us and allows us to take joy in our lives, and in our accomplishments. She is our inner light and the life inside ourselves.
"If Vesta is transiting our first house, for example, then we know it is time we check out our own desires and needs for our lives. If our fifth house is activated, it is a signal we need to nourish the flame that imbues our creativity. If we have children, we may need to deal with them and their needs, and perhaps give them encouragement, and a pep talk, if necessary
"Vesta in our eighth house could mean we should look at our sexual lives, to see if we are getting so consumed with our intimate relationships that we have lost focus in other areas of our lives.
"Vesta in our eleventh house may act as a vitalizing agent for our long burning hopes for our lives. Vesta moving through our twelfth house might cause us to reflect on whether we are really happy internally, in the place inside ourselves no one ever sees. We could investigate metaphysical disciplines, as in dream interpretation, to see if we can discover what is missing in our lives.
"The more we use the astrological goddesses of knowledge, relationships and self-fulfillment, the better able we will be to learn who we really are and make more informed choices for ourselves."

SCIENTIFICALLY
It's a small body orbiting the Sun between the asteroid and Kuiper Belts located between Saturn and Uranus; thus, there was an initial belief it was an asteroid.
That is not the case, perse.
Chiron has a tail resembling a comet but does not exhibit the patterned trajectory of typical of a comet. It also has a unique and erratic orbital pattern; thus, it is classified as both a minor planet(oid) and a comet. Chiron goes its own way. It's named after the centaur Chiron in Greek mythology, known as a healer and teacher who could not heal himself.
It's believed that Chiron hasn't been around very long due to the presence of ice on its surface. Due to its close proximity to the sun ( unlike other comets ) its ice will melt much quicker, causing it to break orbit and perhaps "visit" another galaxy.
MYTHOLOGICALLY
Known as the "Wounded Healer" archetype, named after a mythological wise centaur who trained heroes and was accidentally wounded by Hercules with a poisoned arrow.
Though he could not completely heal his own pain, he learned so much about medicine that he started a healing temple. This asteroid points to where your own painful experiences give you training and how you can use that understanding to help others.
BIBLICAL CORRELATION
The apostle Paul also had a thorn in his flesh that refused to heal; what did Paul do with that wound? He was the perfect reflection of Chiron's true influence. He siphoned wisdom from the pain and used it for the greater good of others.
(2 Corinthians 12:7 KJV) “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.” (Emphasis added)
SPIRITUAL REFERENCE
Chiron is considered a visitor who was captured by the sun's gravitational force; it is referred to as the mature, Spiritual Warrior here to serve a purpose. Just as we are.
It's important to know where Chiron lies in our birth chart because it points us to our own wounds and reveals the healing power we have.
There is truth in the wound; there is also freedom.
Regardless of the terminology used or the religious influence, we all have a thorn in the flesh that we may never be able to completely heal—especially if it's an emotional wound that can be repeatedly triggered throughout life because people are human—and perhaps it's not meant to.
Perhaps we are meant to transform it into a positive tool that would benefit humankind and the 'thorn' is a reminder that we, too, are human and subject to the very behavior we are apt to judge at times.
No one is perfect. No one is without a 'thorn'. I don't know any human that does not deal with a 'thorn' in their flesh. They willingly admit that. Some spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to 'heal' something that may not be meant to heal in the traditional sense of the definition.
Perhaps the term healing should be re-examined. Perhaps healing should take on a different perspective. Perhaps healing is the very integration of the 'thorn' prick vs believing we are to live without it.
I am not referring to loss or accidents that remind us of our humanity. I am addressing our daily existence, observances, practices, rituals, and interactions with others. Our everyday lives, where we strive so hard to be or project perfection because we fear vulnerability.
Instead, find the purpose for the 'Thorn', for without it, there can be no Rose to bloom.
Find purpose in your problems. Hard-earned wisdom is now relevant and needed. You don't have to assign causality—you may never know why you went through a difficult time—but you can put what you learned from it to good use.
Even if you never quite heal in this place of karmic tenderness, you have the wisdom to pass on once you metabolize the information.
This situation may feel familiar, but if you can't remember a story to go with it, it may be left over from a past life, a chapter review of what your soul already knows.
If an old pain is triggered, have compassion for yourself. You are more than your troubles. You know the route through, and now it's time to practice what you know. Once you have a solution, add it to your tool kit. If this situation stretches and tests you, take it as training for the hero within. What you are learning now can be your secret sauce in the future.
Shrapnel can hurt as much coming out as it does going in. Take this opportunity to heal by acceptance those old places so they can transform.
Doing so will allow the pain and troubles of the past to become the wisdom and compassion of the present moment.
May the healing energy compassionate love through acceptance of that which cannot be changed encompass you on this journey to self.

Ceres is the only dwarf planet within the inner solar system. Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

Ceres is the only dwarf planet within the inner solar system. Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
It was discovered in 1801 by Giuseppe Piazzi, and turned out to be the first object of the asteroid belt spotted. It was also the very first dwarf planet to be visited by NASA's spacecraft, 'Dawn' in 2015.
MYTHOLOGICLY
The Roman Goddess Ceres' origins are in the Greek Goddess of the Earth, Demeter, who ruled agriculture, fertility, and had power over the cycles of life and death.
The seasons are also attributed to her because her daughter, Persephone, Goddess of Vegetation, was kidnapped by Hades to co-rule the Underworld, at which time Demeter refused to allow any to growth. The fields withered and humans starved.
Hades was forced to return Persephone to Demeter by the Roman God Zeus ( Greek God Jupiter ), whereas they made a pact that Persephone, now Queen of the Underworld, would only spend half the year with her mother, and the other half with her husband.
Thus, the seasons of spring and summer, when life bursts forth as reflected by Persephone and Ceres' reunion, contrasted with fall and winter when growth withers and hibernates, reflective of Persephone with her husband, Hades, in the underworld.
This is also a reference to the promise of spring's return.
ASTROLOGICAL
Ceres is the Archetype of Mother Nature, representing provision and nourishment. The myth is a metaphor for nurturing and reflects how we care not just about others, but ourselves as well.
While Ceres does point to our well-being and self-care, its placement can also indicate past traumas, particularly childhood vulnerabilities and struggle. A well-placed Ceres would indicate a parent who is balanced, loving, and nurturing and whose children grow up to be independent and self-sufficient adults.
A poorly placed Ceres in your natal chart could indicate abandonment issues, bouts of melancholy, and eating disorders, and could indicate an overbearing parent who attempts to control their children to the point that the children become co-dependent.
Ceres is strongly connected to the earthen signs of Virgo—and is argued by some to be the true ruler of Taurus—as the Moon; both are nurturing symbols. However, the Moon is a symbol of the nurturing between mother and child, while Ceres is the symbol of nurturing ourselves in order to reach our full potential so that we may authentically nurture others.
Today, Ceres rx re-enters Virgo, the earthen sign of the Virgin. This energy is all about balancing the nurturing influence of Ceres for us with dedication and care for others.
This aspect encourages us to focus on details we may have previously overlooked and are now backtracking to correct. Were we too distracted to notice something before? Do we need to develop a better routine that supports both our desires while eliminating distractions?
This placement can direct our progress by honoring self-care and discipline to develop a foundation that enables us to attain and express our desires authentically rather than martyring ourselves for others.
Taking care of YOU will enable you to care for others without bearing the resentment of undue sacrifice.
The subject of Pluto in Capricorn, a topic of some recent daily energy updates, jogged my memory about the significance of this planetary transit. I haven't touched base on it yet but should.
Pluto transits into Aquarius January 2024; however, we'll receive a three-month taste of that Age of Aquarian freedom between March and June of 2023, before Pluto returns to Capricorn for its final tenure.
Pluto, the cosmic harbinger of destruction and regeneration, is the farthest from the Sun. Its orbit is the most eccentric in our solar system and is also known as the slowest. It takes approximately 248 years to travel through the zodiac, staying in each sign between 12 ( Scorpio - Dignity ) - 32 years ( Taurus - Detriment ).
When Pluto shifts into a new sign, notable cultural upheavals often transpire, upgrading our cultural mythology in real-time.
It is known as the third transcendental planet whose influence is not immediately felt by the individual.
With anything that takes time, Pluto's eventual impact is deep and far reaching. And the entrance into a new sign leaves an imprint on an entire generation. Thus, it is heralded as the generational planet, as its transit into a new sign initiates a new generation.
When studying your natal chart, pay particular attention to which House Pluto resides; it indicates insight into the role you may be destined to play. And because it takes time to impact you, its function conjuncts with the passage from the South to the North Node ( what you're born into and your destiny ).
Pluto rules our deepest subconscious and embodies the principle of transformation and regeneration; thus, it can bridge the spiritual and material worlds. It may be small, but the old cliche that dynamite comes in small packages has never rung truer than now.
Capricorn is the Cardinal sign of the South and has the power ( along with the three other Cardinal signs ) to govern the change of seasons. And this doesn't just mean weather-wise. It also means the seasons of humanity. Not only does Capricorn govern the South, but the season of winter as well.
Pluto was last in Capricorn from 1762 to 1778. This was the time of the Declaration of Independence, the Boston Tea Party, Watts invention of the Steam Engine and the reign of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. The Industrial Revolution was in full swing, and the rigidity of many governments of the time led to rebellions and uprisings in later years. Its ingress in 2008 corresponded with the Great Recession. Each of these crises, while encompassing Capricorn virtues of ambition and authority, had their origins in another sign: Perpetually optimistic Sagittarius, where unchecked governmental and economic institutions had been deemed too big to fail.
Think about that one. ^ Pride cometh before a fall.
According to Nyssa Grazda:
"During Pluto’s transit through Capricorn, we are collectively instructed to examine the integrity of political, commercial, legal, and religious establishments that we believe will afford us protection in an ever-changing world. This period addresses the shadow of allegiance, exposing an obvious truth. That investing our time and resources into safeguarding the status quo is rarely rewarded with prosperity or even basic security. Our fidelity only serves to advance the agendas of the so-called Plutocracy, of those already in power."

Pluto 0°♒️0' March 23 @8:23 AM. 🎉
It's important to understand that Pluto takes an estimated 248 YEARS to travel through the Zodiac. It's the farthest from the Sun, and its orbit is known as the most eccentric ( not to mention slowest ) in our solar system and remains in each sign between 12- 32 years.
Ironically, it only stays in the sign of its Dignity, Scorpio, for 12 years, while remaining in its Detriment, Taurus, for 32 years.
We get to experience FIVE Plutonian ingressions ( thanks to retrograde ) within a 19-month period:
First, when he moves into Aquarius today ( March 23 ) @ 12:40 PM. This ingress will give us a sneak preview of the Age of Aquarius and herald revolutionary and cultural change.
Second: He will retrograde back into Capricorn June 11 @ 5:36 AM. Expect some upheaval, particularly in the political secter. I don't know why I keep intuiting something about the Supreme Court, but we'll see.
Third: He reenters Aquarius right on the heels of the Sun's Aquarian ingress Jan 21, 2024 @ 1:00 AMI wish I could say this would be a permanent ingression like I keep reading it will be—but no. Pluto isn't finished shaking things up.
Fourth: He will backtrack one last retrograde into Capricorn @ 7:58 PM September 01, 2024. This will last through the presidential campaigns and election bid on November 05, 2024. You can expect some sort of upheaval again, most likely political, even global.
Fifth and lastly: He will permanently enter Aquarius on November 19 @7:57 PM where he will remain for 20 years, until entering Pisces 2043.
Talk about shaking things up! When Pluto shifts into a new sign, notable cultural upheavals often transpire, upgrading our cultural mythology in real time.
It is also known as the third transcendental planet whose influence is not immediately felt by the individual. That's because, with anything that takes time, Pluto's eventual impact is deep and far-reaching.
The entrance into a new sign leaves an imprint on an entire generation. Thus, it is heralded as the generational planet because its transit into a new sign initiates that generation.
When studying your natal chart, pay particular attention to which House Pluto resides; it indicates insight into the role you may be destined to play. And because it takes time to impact you, its function conjuncts with the passage from the South to the North Node (what you're born into and your destiny).
My Pluto resides in the 12th House, the home of Pisces, ruled by Neptune. It is a house of subconscious and endings. Pluto is also my ruling planet, and as the second deconate of Scorpio, Neptune is my planetary sub-ruler.
I foresee and welcome great change.
Pluto rules our deepest subconscious and embodies the principle of transformation and regeneration; thus, it can bridge the spiritual and material worlds. It may be small, but the old cliche that dynamite comes in small packages has never rung truer than now. Aquarius, on the other hand, is an air sign known for its independent and unconventional nature. It is associated with innovation, intellectual pursuits, humanitarianism, and a desire for social change.
When Pluto is in Aquarius in a birth chart, it suggests that the individual's transformative experiences and personal power will be expressed through Aquarian qualities. They may have a strong desire to challenge traditional norms, question authority, and bring about revolutionary changes in society. They are likely to be drawn to unique and alternative ways of thinking, and their personal transformation may involve breaking free from societal expectations.
Pluto's transit through Aquarius, on a larger scale, influences the collective consciousness and societal structures. During this time, there may be a focus on transforming and revolutionizing social, political, and technological systems. Issues related to individual freedoms, equality, and the advancement of human rights may gain prominence.
It's important to note that the interpretation of Pluto in Aquarius can vary depending on other aspects of an individual's birth chart or the specific time period of Pluto's transit.
Consulting with a professional astrologer can provide more personalized and detailed insights into the significance of this placement for a particular person or time.
Tomorrow, Monday, May 1, Pluto stations Rx 00°Capriconr21′ thru October 10 27° .
Pluto stations Rx once a year while opposing the Sun, lasting around five months, so this Rx isn't out of the ordinary. Except this Rx will take Pluto backward into Capricorn.
Pluto is known as the harbinger of destruction and is all about transformation and reformation. A Plutonian retrograde is typically a time of inner reflection and re-evaluation of our relationships, particularly our family, friends, and associates, and the power struggles we may experience with them.
When re-evaluating our relationships, ask yourself how you feel in the presence of each person. Do you feel controlled? Manipulated? Unable to be your authentic self or express your feelings without fear of repercussions?
If you feel this way, Pluto Rx is here to provide the power you need to break the cycle of fear so that you can be free.
The tool of preference is distance vs engaging in any power struggle for control. If those whom you feel have dominated, manipulated, or controlled you cannot be reasoned with, or respect your boundaries, then it's time to distance yourself gracefully from them.
If someone pressures you for creating distance, they are operating out of their own fear of not being in control.
We are not here to change anyone's mind or behavior; we are only here to improve ourselves. Whatever action we decide to take should always be for our greatest good which serves the greater good of the whole.
If those whom you wish to distance from are immediate family or close "friends", then distancing may not be possible. We can, however, set boundaries and ignore any passive-aggressive, manipulative, and/or controlling behavior they may attempt.
Even if it's walking to another room and closing the door. Or walking outside and around the block to distance ourselves.
We teach others how to treat us by what we accept. Pluto is here to add power to the dissolution or reformation of our relationships.
But this five-month Rx trek isn't just about our relationships with others; it's about our relationship with ourselves.
Are we operating out of fear or love? Do we find ourselves trying to control the behavior of others? Do we catch ourselves being manipulative to get what we want? Or do we have secret habits that are taking us down the rabbit hole of destruction: addiction ( this could be drugs, alcohol, sex, food, etc. ), hidden prejudice, secret judgments, and so forth.
This is not a time for power struggles to change others, or they will backfire by evolving into repetitive habits that become more destructive as time passes. It's a time to clean the slate of relationships that do not add to our quality of life and habits that prevent us from obtaining the quality of life that we want and deserve. Some are here to teach us how to set boundaries and distance ourselves. Not all are here to transform into a positive experience that will remain in our life.
Our goal here is mastery over ourselves: our choices and behavior. None of us are born subservient to another's power trip, including our own.
In the collective 8th House, Pluto's natural home, and the house of Scorpio, a house of endings and regeneration.
*( Don't forget to run your biwheel to determine which house it falls in for you. )*
First, a recap of things I've already said about this transit:
• It's important to understand that Pluto takes an estimated 248 YEARS to travel through the Zodiac. It's the farthest from the Sun, and its orbit is known as the most eccentric ( not to mention slowest ) in our solar system and remains in each sign between 12- 32 years.
• Ironically, it's in the sign of its Dignity, Scorpio, for only 12 years, while remaining in its Detriment, Taurus, for 32 years.
• Pluto moved into Aquarius on March 23, giving us a sneak preview of the Age of Aquarius and potential revolutionary and cultural change, particularly with the rise of AI.
• With today's retrograde back into Capricorn, we can expect some type of upheaval, particularly in the political or global sector.
• He reenters Aquarius right on the heels of the Sun's Aquarian ingress on Jan 21, 2024, @ 1:00 AM EDT.
I wish I could say this would be a permanent ingression—but no. Pluto isn't finished shaking things up.
• He will backtrack one last retrograde into Capricorn @ 7:58 PM September 01, 20 This will last through the American presidential campaigns and election bid on November 05, 2024. You can expect some sort of upheaval again, most likely political.
• He will permanently enter Aquarius on November 19 @ 7:57 PM EDT. After that, he won’t be finished with Aquarius until early 2044 – and won’t touch Capricorn again until February 28, 2254.
Now, onto the energy we can expect with this backtrack.
When Pluto shifts into a new sign, notable cultural upheavals often transpire, upgrading our cultural mythology in real time. That's because Pluto governs the masses, dictatorships, waste, subversion, atomic power, and crime. It exposes that which has been developed secretly or undercover.
Because it also governs bacteria and viruses, it's no surprise that COVID emerged during his initial transit through Capricorn, as well as the war in Ukraine.
Pluto is known as the third transcendental planet whose influence is not immediately felt by the individual.
That's because, with anything that takes time, Pluto's eventual impact is deep and far-reaching. COVID-19 is an example. As is the war with Ukraine.
The entrance into a new sign leaves an imprint on an entire generation. Thus, it is heralded as the generational planet because its transit into a new sign initiates that generation.
When studying your natal chart, pay particular attention to which House Pluto resides; it indicates insight into the role you may be destined to play.
Because it takes time to impact you, its function conjuncts with the passage from the South to the North Node ( what you're born into and your destiny ).
My Pluto resides in the 12th House, the Home of Pisces, ruled by Neptune. It is a house of subconscious and endings. However, this transit is in my 4th house, a house of endings and security ruled by Cancer and the Moon.
Pluto rules our deepest subconscious and embodies the principle of transformation and regeneration; thus, it can bridge the spiritual and material worlds.
Capricorn is the Cardinal sign of the South and has the power ( along with the three other Cardinal signs ) to govern the change of seasons. This doesn't mean just weather-wise. It also means the seasons of humanity.
Its ingress into Capricorn in 2008 corresponded with the Great Recession.
"This period addresses the shadow of allegiance, exposing an obvious truth.
Investing our time and resources into safeguarding the status quo is rarely rewarded with prosperity or even basic security. Our fidelity only serves to advance the agendas of the so-called Plutocracy, of those already in power."
With Pluto’s retrogradation into Capricorn, we are being offered a chance to reflect on our own lives, and to heal ancestral patterns that do not serve us – or, we will taste the fruits, ripe or rotten if we avoid this opportunity.
Pluto’s transit into Capricorn fifteen years ago witnessed the exposure of traditional values that are actually toxic: racism, sexism, and homophobia to name just three.
Pluto’s entry into, and the Age of Aquarius is about redefining values that encompass equality. Just because something has been around a long time doesn't make it right. Remember when it was against the law for people of different races, or the same gender to marry or cohabitate? How about black people having to use a separate entrance and water fountain? If they were allowed in the establishment at all.
Not all orders should be followed. Not all authority is actually worthy of respect. This is Pluto in Capricorn, revealing the undercurrent, and exposing the corruption, toxicity, and harm of such mindsets across humanity.
And it ain't pretty.
Pluto in Aquarius provided us a glimpse of a new age being born: The Age of Aquarius. And that will return; however, for now, we're all in “Capricorn Recovery Therapy.” Capricorn being ruled by Saturn, the taskmaster, teacher, and Lord of Karma come to collect.
If you can stay the course and walk with moral integrity, resisting the temptation of lower vibrational energy, tending Mother Gaia, and demonstrating compassion toward animals and humans, then in a few months when Pluto moves back into Aquarius on January 20, 2024 –your foundation for breakthroughs and advancements will have been laid.
if not, well, read the above.
As one of my mentors said:
"What happens in the world is always the sum of all the choices that eight billion human beings are making. As you fight to escape the deadening hand of the outdated past as it echoes inside of you, you are setting up a resonance that ultimately helps everyone to create a better, more Aquarian future. And that is humanity’s mission for the next couple of decades." ~ Steven Forrest
I wish you foresight, strength, and peace on your journey. 🙏✨
